SPELLING MAGIC 2 is designed to enhance your child’s future reading success by focusing on CVCC (consonant-vowel-consonant-consonant) and CCVC (consonant-consonant-vowel-consonant) words. These are also known as “consonant blend words” and are categorized into themes.

The app teaches the sounds of letters and word-building skills, aiding children in learning the alphabet sounds and how to construct CCVC/CVCC words with four phonemes using short vowel words. Additionally, it indirectly introduces the crucial reading skill of segmenting. Two levels of challenge are offered to adapt to your child’s learning needs.

In the “Word Building” section, children construct words using only the components (letters) provided, while the “Moveable Alphabet” section incorporates the entire alphabet for word creation.

It's important to note that SPELLING MAGIC 2 aims to provide ample opportunities for practicing building CCVC & CVCC words. Some words in the app may not be part of a young learner's typical vocabulary, offering a chance to expand their word bank. Tapping on pictures prompts the app to vocalize the word's sound, aiding children in word recognition.

The free version includes 72 words, while the DELUXE version boasts 235 words. The DELUXE version offers various customizable features such as two voice options, three font styles, two letter color variations, a unique letter connection feature, and an extensive selection of over 160 additional words not present in the free version.
